HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) is the code that is used to structure a web page and its content. For example, content could be structured within a set of paragraphs, a list of bulleted points, or using images and data tables
Basic HTML Tags
There are many elements that are used to create and edit the structure of a web page. Elements are also grouped into classes, which are best explained in the following HTML table. Table 1. HTML Elements Element Class Description Image The most common element. It’s the way to put a file image onto a web page. A picture or an image can be inserted into the right margin, along with any images within that page. A few popular things you can use an image for are: Creating an image of the main page along with an image for the sidebar, a button or link that shows the user how to click on the image. Content The content of a web page usually comes in the form of text or more graphic-based. The content is usually organized in paragraphs and lists.
The text format is an important part of HTML. The formatting must be grammatically correct and follow the conventions that are given in the W3C specifications. HTML Tags The text formatting within the HTML must be compatible with the format of the HTML document. The HTML tag’s name refers to the types of information that the tag contains. HTML Obligatory Tags Each of the HTML elements, such as
a , , etc., has a specific purpose in the content. HTML Syntax The HTML document is represented in the document structure as a tree, which is the case when you type text within a web browser or open a web page. The DOM tree tells the browser which HTML elements should be visible in order to display the HTML document correctly. DOM trees are not controlled by the browser itself.
Headings and Subheadings
HTML contains tags to define headings, subject lines, subheadings, footers, blocks of text and inline references. These elements can be found at the end of HTML documents and contain data that relates to the section that you’re viewing. HTML uses the title attribute to define how a link is displayed.
HTML also uses the inline attribute to define how a link will be displayed, and its value will be used in the URI. HTML lists can be used to improve the efficiency of your website, to list your links on your website, and to have a way to separate your content from your external links. There are two kinds of HTML lists that you could add to your website: single and multiple. Single lists will have a single heading at the top, the contents will be repeated multiple times inside the list and there will be nothing outside the list except for the empty space. Multi-list will be the opposite, it will have multiple heads, the contents will be repeated multiple times inside the list, and will be separated from each other by other blank spaces. Following is a list of some common HTML lists: List headings The most common kind of list headings are h1, h2, h3, h4 and h5.
Images and Data Tables
Huge investments are being made into websites and how to maintain those and how to make those more reliable and resilient. After the initial setup, your website is usually just a collection of small HTML files that are constantly being updated in the background. Your website is updated whenever there is an important patch to the code that would improve the website. If you want to learn HTML in this post, then you will find some good sources online to use as a starting point. If you have the required course and the funds, I would recommend that you opt for a complete programming course that would be based on HTML. With these courses, you would come to understand more about HTML.
